run
I have been lazy.
I admit.
I haven’t worked out in 3 weeks, except on my days off. I am just physically exhausted after work! But I am going to conquer this and follow my new workout plan. I love retail because I can mix and match workouts based on my roster, which will make sure I never fall into a routine.
I really don’t like routines.
Gonna cool down (from my run) with some yoga now. It is fucking ridiculously hot today.
I never thought I would ever do this in my life - the girl who hates running. My timing was under what I expected and I didn’t walk at all! Not bad eh? ;) I start work tomorrow, so my workout schedule will be mixed up for the next week. Fit for life. x
Just because your pace is slow doesn’t mean it’s not your best effort.
I’m a beginner runner and my best friend is a beast. We were just talking about this and I thought it was very helpful. It doesn’t matter how slow you go as long as you do not stop!
Also - a lot of trainers like to say that at beginner levels of training one can afford not to take rest days. This isn’t true, because we all begin at our own levels - what is uncomfortable for one may be a warmup for another. Take it slow and you’ll get there!
Be fit!
Day 32: Core Cardio & Balance
My legs are burning. My body is sweat soaked. My arms want to fall off.
I’m feeling good
3KM
I JUST JOGGED/RAN 3 KM WITHOUT STOPPING
I HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE
FYEAH
I’ve never been a runner, I’ve always preferred the bike or the gym or circuit training or dancing but I am starting to enjoy it and IT’S SO STRANGE WTF
Victories
Not all victories are on the scale, but if you’ve ever been overweight, fat, obese…you’ll know it’s a huge factor. To have your total body weight go down by tens of pounds and kilos is an amazing feeling and an amazing achievement.
My fitness goals for this year are pretty easy, I guess. To be fit all-round, to start to see some ab definition (hello belly button piercing), reduction of my bingo wingz (lol), better posture and……….
to be able to run at least 5k. Nonstop. Yeah, everybody can do it but it’s been my biggest challenge and I don’t quite want to give up yet! One of my best friends can run like crazy balls so I kind of want to find someone who’s just starting out like me so we can progress together, but I’m perfectly capable of doing it on my own.
I try to go to the gym as much as I can along with doing some circuit training. I get bored easily, so I enjoy taking breaks for Pilates and (coming soon!) Zumba. I am looking forward to getting back to my bellydancing classes even though I practice at home like all the time wtf.
This post ends abruptly HAHA I’m going to go photoshop my head on my favourite body and stare at it whilst I work out.

The Five Stages of a Runner
Here is the second chapter from Galloway’s Book on Running, “The Five Stages of A Runner.” If you have been running for a while, you’ll probably be surprised (and amused) to read Jeff’s description of the stages we all go through.
I STARTED RUNNING when I was 13. I…
so apparently the reason I wheeze/cough/gasp for air after a run is because I have
*drumroll*
Exercise Induced Asthma.
So I’m hoping this baby helps, I want to be a good runner!
6/5/12
first weigh in/measurements since the bffizzle and I have started getting fit. hoping for great results! we’ll know in a week.
I’ve been trying to get into the habit of running - I am a really bad runner, but good with other forms of cardio (love stairs/biking/dance/anything with an incline). I refuse to be one of those girls who succumb to being a bad runner - I am determined to improve and be fucking fit as fuck. Yeah. I can feel myself getting stronger, and my collarbones are a permanent fixture in my life now. WHY DID I LET MYSELF BE SO RIDICULOUSLY OVERWEIGHT?! I’m not overweight anymore and I still am annoyingly unfit. GADSNBAKL;SDNBMAO;SLDMBAK
In other news! My The Audition shirts (and a hoodie wtf) and Chapter II came in zee mail (thanks Steven, mega love to you!). I’m flying from Singapore to Colorado Springs to see him in May, then forcing him to fly to Philadelphia (yes I have no knowledge of the distance between states, being Singaporean means it takes a good 30 minutes to get from one side of the island to another in a traffic jam) so that I can see them play live at least once! I mean wtf I’ve watched the Eagles twice and I’ve never once had the chance to catch The Audition. Not cool!
Here’s to another week of being the best I can be.
